Bonzer on TV - Sell out success

This is the second appearance of the new Bonzer Mat Pro on UK television
We had a really fun evening with the guys at Ideal World, and the public seemed to really like it as well - nearly selling out of all stock during the show. Yours truly (TeamBonzer) was ably assisted by Bonzer Racing’s very own version of “the Stig” - Dean Lee. We have put together a shortish video showing some of the action from the show. MKI Bonzer Mat in action on QVC

Watch the second TV appearance of the origonal roll-out Bonzer Mat on UK TV.
This was a live show on November 5th 2004. The mats almost sold out in 9 minutes.

Those Nakamichi racers were really difficult to get round the track and I had to turn to a trusty “dome clone” to complete the competition track.

This track system is currently discontinued.

Bonzer Mat Pro the “Dark Side”, down the park

We took the track down the park for a bit of outdoor fun. We were soon swamped by the local skate board dudes who all wanted to race. Click on the icon to watch the short video of the “Dark Side” in action.

Bonzer Mat Pro all Star Soccer

Well, we said it could be done, and here is the proof - three way soccer match.
The lads had already been racing for an hour or so, then they found the ball. I guess that with the world cup approaching fast, the young dudes wanted to get some soccer action going. They made up their own rules (he who shouts loudest is right!), but they certainly enjoyed it.

Hitari Speed Machines - Bonzer Racers

The latest additions to the Bonzer Racer collection are two Hitari Mean Speed Machines. These were purchased at Argos in the UK. They are very similar to Radio Shack ZipZaps with some pros and cons. On the good side the detail is brilliant, with pin sharp graphics (we had to use the zoom camera to actually read some of the graphics), not a sticker in sight. The control units have better range than we have found on any clone or original. The package comes with three different motors, three different gear setups and three sets of tyres not 4X4 but 3X3!, brilliant value!. Batteries are good and give a run time of over 5 minutes. All parts exchangeable with ZipZaps and most clones with the exception of the motors. The only down side at the moment is that their turning circle is much larger than ZipZaps or clones and you will need to create appropriate tracks to accommodate them. Anyway, enough of the talk, lets see some action. TeamBonzer and an antipodes friend got together for a thrash around the track. This video is the result. 11 mb 2 min video.

Red Zip Zap on the competition track

Watch this new red Zip Zap with a German import body kit, race around the competition track. Notice also how the Bonzer Barrier has gone red, let us know what you think.

Mini Madness

See some of these mini’s race on the Dark Side of the BonzerMat. They have working headlights and great detail. Inspired by the Austin Mini and updated for fun racing. We like these a lot!. Watch them race around a simple oval - and try and guess which mini TeamBonzer is driving (the rest were amateurs). Still, very easy to drive with an “auto slow down” on turn feature, and a two speed controller. Reliability 95%. .. Fun 100%. Reminds me of something Michael Caine once said!. A bunch of us got back from the pub late and put this one together quickly! - excuse the driving. By the way we are still in a Northern Soul frame of mind.

Grovesnor Park

Watch the public reaction to the first outing of the BonzerMat. This short movie shows some of the people who stopped and played with a BonzerMat for the first time. Reaction was great, the most surprising thing for us was the number of people who had never seen a Micro R/C car before.

Carlton Tavern

Racing down the pub! Watch the regulars at the Carlton Tavern in Chester, get to grips with Bonzer Racing. Great night out had by all. The only punter to make it round the competition track was an RAF jet fighter instructor! (he was sober). Most people mastered the fast oval pretty quickly, but it takes more than 20 minutes practice and a few pints to gain the skill required for real racing.

Ten Lap Sprint Race

Watch these three poorly matched cars compete in a short 10 lap sprint race. The cars are a Precious Clone (red), a Super Mini Racer clone (Blue/Silver) and a brand new (out the box) ZipZap (Gold). The two clones have been upgraded with 120 mah NiMH batteries and “red end” 2.2 motors. The ZipZap has a stock 2.2 motor. They are racing on the fast oval on the reverse of the BonzerMat. Thanks to Radio Shack UK for supplying the ZipZaps. Good news is that they are now available in the UK. Which one wins may be a surprise!

50 Lap Endurance Race

Ok, so after racing for 10 laps, the guy driving the red car claimed that he would have won if he had more time (to get used to the car). So we agreed on a 50 lap race. Watch what happened when 3 Northern Soul Dudes rocked on the track!
